SAAT Allergy Treatment

Find Relief From Allergies Naturally
If you struggle with seasonal allergies, sinus congestion, chronic sneezing, itchy eyes, headaches, or reactions to foods and environmental triggers, SAAT may help.

At Sustaining Health Acupuncture, we are excited to offer Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT) — a specialized acupuncture protocol designed to help calm the body’s overactive immune response.

Unlike treatments that simply mask symptoms temporarily, SAAT aims to help the nervous system and immune system respond differently to allergens over time.
What Is SAAT?
SAAT (Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment) is an advanced form of auricular (ear) acupuncture developed by Dr. Nader Soliman.

The treatment involves placing a very small, sterile acupuncture needle in a precise point on the ear associated with the body’s inflammatory and allergic response. The needle is typically left in place for several days while the body continues responding to treatment.

Many patients seek SAAT for support with:
-
Alpha-gal Syndrome
-
Seasonal allergies
-
Environmental allergies
-
Mold sensitivities
-
Pet allergies
-
Dust allergies
-
Food sensitivities and allergies
-
Histamine-related symptoms
-
Chronic sinus congestion
-
Certain inflammatory responses
How Does SAAT Work?
SAAT is based on the idea that the nervous system plays a major role in how the body reacts to allergens and inflammatory triggers.

By stimulating a specific acupuncture point in the ear, the treatment may help regulate the body’s response and reduce hypersensitivity over time. Many patients report resolution or up to 95% reduction in symptoms.

Every person responds differently, but many patients report improvements such as:
-
Reduced sneezing and congestion
-
Less sinus pressure
-
Increased ability to tolerate foods or products that previously caused reactions
-
Reduced dependence on allergy medications
-
Fewer flare-ups during allergy season
What To Expect During Treatment
Your first visit includes a detailed consultation to discuss your symptoms, triggers, health history, and goals.

During treatment:
-
Neuromuscular testing is used to evaluate your body's response to desired allergens
-
1-3 tiny (3mm) acupuncture needle are placed in the right ear
-
The needles are covered by a small piece of medical adhesive
-
The needle(s) remain in place for 3-4 weeks
-
You will receive detailed aftercare instructions
-
Follow-up is conducted to evaluate efficacy of treatment and instructions for re-exposure are given
-
Prior to treatment, you will be tested for allergy to the needle, adhesive, and for MCAS. If any of these are found to be positive, these will be treated before we can safely address other allergens.
